2025 MS Copilot Sizzle Reel
I worked on various UI motion design work for Microsoft products such as Copilot and Edge, as well as marketing promotional videos.
Beyond simply executing ideas, I contributed to storyboarding and concept development and worked on a variety of videos, moving seamlessly between Figma and After Effects.
I designed the character and environment using an AI‑driven workflow. To add a more human and approachable feel to the tech‑focused sizzle reel, I intentionally used a painting‑style look. I connected the various projects in the sizzle reel by adding the character’s hand movements and facial expressions that interact naturally with the UI motion work, creating a smooth overall flow.
Microsoft Cube - Time Square
The Cube is a 26‑foot structure with three connected screens near Times Square. Since people can only see one or two sides, we used wrapping animations that move across all three screens. Most viewers only watch for a few seconds, so each moment had to be clear, fast, and leave a strong Microsoft impression. It was created to build awareness of Microsoft AI’s brand identity, and a strategy was used to guide people toward Microsoft.AI.
I explored abstract background elements that reflect the MAI brand style, like subtle visuals with natural elements. And I used Z‑depth animation to turn the images into soft, interesting transitions.
Mico Avatar
Mico is an emotionally intelligent avatar designed to connect with users and collaborate on problem-solving. By adapting its facial expressions and vocal tone to the user's emotions, Mico creates a highly personalized experience. I collaborated with the Mico and marketing teams to design a diverse suite of motion assets that bring the character's personality to life.
We used the BabylonJS tool to easily extract the Mico animations originally created in Maya. I then enhanced them in After Effects with particle effects, color adjustments, and glow, and used them in the marketing video based on the storyboard.
I used AI to create a variety of storyboards that show Mico expressing different emotions and appearing in different environments.
MAI Image Gen Demo Video
This demo video introduces the Microsoft AI Image Gen feature and shows users how to use it on the site, along with examples of the kinds of results they can get. I used arrows to help viewers follow the flow naturally, and soft transitions to create a calm, smooth viewing experience.
The MAI Creative Studio sizzle reel
MAI Creative Studio is an in‑house production studio at Microsoft. I handled the overall sizzle reel that showcased the work produced by the Creative Studio. I created the intro and outro, and timed the transitions to the music beats so the pieces would switch in a way that feels engaging for viewers.
